Races
COCC hosts several popular running events each year, bringing participants from across Central Oregon to the Bend campus. With a tradition spanning more than 30 years, these races have become a staple in the Bend community. These events create a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere for both competitive runners and those simply looking to enjoy a fun, active experience.
More than just events, these races are an opportunity to give back. Each race is hosted in part to raise funds in support of student scholarships, helping expand access and opportunity for COCC students. Whether you’re striving for a personal best or just enjoying the course, your participation makes a meaningful impact while bringing the community together.
Jungle Run
Celebrate over 30 years of one of COCC's most popular running events! The Jungle Run/Walk
features a 2 mile trail course that winds through the Bend campus. Single track trails,
mud bogs, steep climbs, and fun obstacles are just a part of what make this a unique
and challenging experience for all participants.
Enjoy a high energy, community focused event with post race food, prizes, and a free
t-shirt for all participants.
Keep an eye out on the course too! Spot one the hidden "jungle snakes" for a special prize at the end (don't worry, no real snakes!).

Storm the Stairs
Celebrate the 31st Annual Storm the Stairs event. A one of a kind run that takes participants on a stair filled adventure across the scenic Bend campus. This unique course weaves through hills, stairwells, and through campus buildings! This event is sure to offer a fund and challenging way to experience campus like never before.
Open to all skill levels, Storm the Stairs is perfect for runners and walkers alike. Participants can enjoy a fun event with post race food, prizes, and a free event t-shirt.

Turkey Trot 5k & Toddler Trot
Celebrate the season with the Annual Turkey Trot 5k, a fun and festive community tradition for participants of all ages. the Event features a 5k course open to runners and walkers of all levels. A perfect way to get active and enjoy time with friends and family.
For our youngest participants, the Toddler Trot offers a short, fun activity designed just for kids, creating a welcoming experience for the entire family.
Whether you are running the 5k or cheering on a toddler, the Turkey Trot is a great way to get active, connect with the community, and be part of a COCC tradition.
