Custodial Services

• Vacuuming of carpets
• Sweeping and damp-mopping of tiled and other hard surfaced floors
• Removal of trash from common area receptacles
• Cleaning of classroom blackboards/erasers
• Dusting
• Throughout the day disinfection and product resupply in restrooms
• Spot-cleaning/shampooing/extraction of carpets and upholstery
• Waxing of tiled floors
• Emergency cleanup due to spills and floods

• Cleaning: Carpets are cleaned and floors are stripped and refinished annually. 

The following buildings are on a centralized trash program, this requires users to empty their trash in one of the multiple centralized trash locations available within the building. 

• Boyle Education Center
• Middleton Science Center
• Mazama

Collection of most common recyclable materials (e.g., paper, cardboard, plastic, or glass) is performed by custodial services.  To report missed recycling collection, or to request collection of specialty materials such as Styrofoam.

• Note that used toner cartridges can be recycled by returning them to the office supply vendor from which they were purchased.
• Cardboard is collected separately, broken down and placed in cardboard specific bin, No blue bins
