Alex Kollar Memorial Scholarship

The COCC Alex Kollar Memorial Scholarship was created to inspire students to pursue sustainability education and engagement with the same joy, hope and passion with which Alex approached his life.

Each year, $500 is awarded to the student with the strongest application, vision and stoke for planet and people. Applications open during Spring term of each academic year and are due on June 15. Successful applicants should exhibit:

• A fervent love for nature and a desire to protect it.
• A commitment to engage in meaningful community service.
• A yearning for learning, especially about sustainability.
• A limitless potential mindset.
• A passion for life — GO BIG!

In order to qualify for the scholarship, students must also complete at least one COCC Sustainability-Designated (SD) or SUS-prefix course.

Immense gratitude to the Benrath Family and the COCC Sustainability Committee for their ongoing financial support.
