Bestiary - Threats to Network Security
Bestiary ( bestiary ) noun:
1. a medieval allegorical work on the appearance and habits of real or imaginary
animals
2. a collection of descriptions or representations of real or imaginary animals
3. an unusual or whimsical collection
Use the Security Engineering - Bestiary menu to select various beasts which threaten the confidentiality, integrity, or availability
of you organization's resources. While one might assume that these threats are digital
or based around software and networks, there are myriad types of threats that actualize
against organizations. Man-made, whether accidental or intentional, natural hazards,
biological or even technological hazards threaten the stability and goals of an organization.
While studying these threats, try to understand not only what the threat entails and
how it works, but also about what defensive measures your or your department might
take to prevent or mitigate this threat.
