Eligibility and Requirements

Eligibility

The Indonesian Field Study Program is limited to 10 participants.

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Obtain instructor approval

  • Be prepared to participate in the required sequence of academic courses

  • Be able to meet the academic and logistical requirements of international field study

Requirements

Participants must hold a valid passport and are responsible for meeting all applicable travel, immigration, and entry requirements established by the Indonesian government. Students should ensure that required travel documents are obtained and remain valid for the duration of the program. Current Indonesian entry requirements can be found at the US Embassy Website.

Participants must submit a completed application packet to include:

  • Personal Information Data Sheet

  • Three Letters of Reference

  • Confirmation of Health Screening Form (physician's endorsement to participate in field research)

  • TB Test Results form

  • Acknowledgement Regarding Travel Insurance Form (as required by COCC for participation)

  • Acknowledgement of Risk and Consent for Treatment Form

  • Terms of Participation From

  • Standards of Conduct for Study Abroad Form

  • Release Form-Central Oregon Community College

  • Release Form-Pisat Stido Satwa Primata-Institut Pertanian Bogor

  • Photo/Video Consent Form-COCC

  • $25 Application fee (non-refundable) 

Because enrollment is limited, prospective participants should begin planning well in advance of the program dates.
