Open Play opportunities allow COCC students, staff and community members to enjoy on-campus pickup games and practice sessions, as well as access free passes to local off-campus facilities.
Basketball (Fall, Winter, Spring)
Mazama Gymnasium is available for pickup basketball or just to shoot around. Open times are on the Mazama Gym "Open Hours" Schedule.
Volleyball (Fall, Winter, Spring)
Mazama Gymnasium is reserved for open-play volleyball Thursdays 6-8pm.
Pickleball Club (Year Round)
Open-gym, community-led pickleball on Fridays from 3-5pm. All skill levels welcome.

Tennis (Fall, Spring)
Students, staff, and community can use the tennis courts any time during Mazama open hours.
Table Tennis/Ping Pong (Fall, Winter, Spring)
Students, staff, and community can play table tennis any time during Mazama open hours.
Bowling Passes - Lava Lanes Bowling Alley
FREE bowling passes to Lava Lanes are available for COCC students (with current ID) from Jacob Swinn in Mazama 111. These passes are on a first-come, first-serve basis and are good for 1 free game of bowling plus shoe rental. No groups over 6 people, please.
Swim & Skate Passes - 10 Visits to BPRD Facilities
FREE swim and skate passes are available for currently-enrolled COCC students through Bend Parks and Rec, and provide access to the Juniper Swim and Fitness Center, Larkspur Community Center, and The Pavilion skate rink for ice and roller skating (pass does not include skate rentals). Please email jswinn2@cocc.edu with your student ID number and a picture of your current class schedule to get on the list. These passes are good for 10 free visits per term to any BPRD facility, and must be renewed via email each term.
Madras Aquatic Center Memberships
FREE passes are available to currently enrolled COCC students for drop-in activities like lap swim, rec swim, hot tub, open gym, toddler time, independent workout and splash downs. Please email jswinn2@cocc.edu with your student ID number and a picture of your current class schedule to get on the list. These passes are limited and must be renewed via email each term.
On-Campus Fitness Center, Climbing Wall*, Track, & Trail
Complete with cardio equipment and strength machines/free weights, the Mazama Fitness Center is open during regular Mazama hours. We also offer an outdoor track and field and the 1.35 mile Bobcat Trail through campus.
*Mazama climbing wall is currently under construction (updated 11/2024).
**When Fitness Center classes are in session, please use the other weight and cardio rooms.
Disc Golf Course
Back after a 10-year absence, the Cascade Forest Disc Golf Course is a 9-basket course located between the track, Barber Library, and Wickiup Hall.
Sports Equipment Lending
Sports Equipment is available for students (with student ID), Faculty and Staff to borrow from the Fitness Center Attendant, any time during Mazama hours.
