Madras HS Pathway

Madras High School students can take college courses through COCC that apply to both university transfer and career focused pathways. For students planning to transfer, these courses can count toward an associate degree and transfer seamlessly to any Oregon public university as part of the Core Transfer Map. For those interested in career and technical education, courses may lead directly into programs like Early Childhood Education, preparing students for in-demand jobs. Each path offers a head start on college and career goals while still in high school.

Additional course requirements may be completed via concurrent enrollment. Check with your high school counselor to see what funding may be available.

Transfer

Students can earn 30 general education credits towards an Associate of Arts degree or bachelors degree at an Oregon public college or university. The Core Transfer Map acts as a starting point for students who plan to transfer to a public institution but are unsure of their intended major. Students who are certain of their major should consult an advisor for more information.
