About The Foundation

COCC Foundation at a Glance

Since 1955, Central Oregon Community College Foundation scholarships have enabled students to learn new skills, earn technical certificates, complete two-year associate degrees and be prepared to pursue the remainder of their undergraduate studies at a college or university.

We are proud, and exceedingly grateful, that Central Oregon Community College Foundation scholarships have impacted the lives of tens of thousands of Central Oregon students. These students come from all corners of the College district and share one belief that education can change and improve their lives.

Our scholarships provide financial support, but for many students being a scholarship recipient means something more. It means that someone believes in them enough to provide them with the financial resources needed to attend COCC. It means that someone else believes in their dreams.

Vision Statement:
The Central Oregon Community College Foundation supports COCC, and its students, to ensure that the college is a vital, accessible, premier educational resource.

Mission Statement:
The COCC Foundation provides funds for scholarships and capital improvements, cultivates relationships with stakeholders to support COCC and its students, and develops programs that foster COCC student success.

Established in 1955 with a first year's achievement of $500. Today, assets managed by the Foundation total nearly $30 million dollars.

During 2024-2025, the Foundation will provide more than $2,200,000 in scholarships and program support to COCC.

The COCC Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization, separate from the college and governed by a volunteer board of trustees composed of professional, business, and community leaders.

Contributions to the Foundation are tax deductible. The Foundation accepts unrestricted gifts and also directs gifts to where the donor desires to meet a particular college and student need.
