Student Accessibility Services

Any student with a documented disability (physical, learning, psychological, vision, hearing, etc.) who needs to arrange reasonable accommodations must inform the college as soon as possible.

Library Resources

COCC's Barber Library has resources that you can access off-campus, right from the library's home page:
  • reference guides
  • information databases
  • online encyclopedias
  • the library catalog

The Barber Library offers online resources you can access from off-campus. Use the search box on the homepage to search the most popular databases, or consult a Research Guide to find articles, background information, websites, and more for a particular subject.

If you have questions, you can get help from library staff.


Tutoring

The COCC Tutoring Center provides free tutoring services to all currently enrolled COCC students for the courses that they are currently taking at COCC. Tutoring is available on all four campuses and online. It also administers a variety of tests, including various test-taking Student Accessibility Services, GREs, SATs, and many certification tests.

Writing Center

The COCC Writing Center provides free tutoring services to currently enrolled COCC students for courses that they are currently taking at COCC. Please visit the Writing Center website for a schedule of center hours and additional information.

Academic Advising & CAP Services

CAP Services provides comprehensive support for all COCC students. Contact them for more information on placement testing, academic advising or career services. Every student has a dedicated adivsor who should contact you about advising appointments, but you need to proactive as well. If you do not hear from your advisor or for any reason cannot meet with him or her, you need to contact CAP Services.

Institutional Syllabus

The COCC Institutional Syllabus contains information and policies that will apply to ALL your COCC classes. This includes an ADA statement, Class Recording policy, Enrollment and Drop Deadlines, and more.
