Stephina Brewer

Stephina's love for teaching is as deep as it is broad, having taught at the high
school, community college, and university levels, as well as in six countries. She
earned her bachelor's degree in art and a master's degree in teaching English as a
second language from Arizona State University.
Stef’s approach to adult education is enthusiastic and compassionate. "My goal is
to help students discover or rediscover their love of learning," she shares. "Once
that happens, the sky is the limit."

Jennifer grew up in Central Oregon and has been teaching at COCC since 2013. She received her bachelor's degree in anthropology at Whitman College and a master's degree in adult education and training from Seattle University. She also received her initial certificate to teach English as a second language through Seattle University.
Jenn discovered her passion for teaching when she worked as a reading and writing tutor at North Seattle Community College. "My students are a constant source of inspiration and strength," she explains.

Amy Stancliff

Amy has been with Adult Basic Skills at COCC since 2005, teaching English Language Learning (ELL) classes. Amy received her bachelor's degree in English literature with a minor in Spanish from Brigham Young University. She received her M.Ed. in teaching English as a second language from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada. Amy also teaches College Success and Study Strategies for COCC through the Human Development discipline.
Prior to coming to COCC, Amy taught English in Uruguay and at Chemeketa Community College. She has been instrumental in curriculum development and providing lesson-planning workshops for other ELL instructors. She is bilingual in English and Spanish.
