Shared Governance Mission and Goals

Mission: COCC Shared Governance Committee provides support for college policy and advisory committees to promote shared decision-making in support of the mission and vision of the college.

Values/Goals

• Efficiency-Shared governance will assist new chairs and committee members in navigating COCC committee processes, structures and expectations.
• Transparency-Shared Governance will engage all employee groups to foster open communication and committee accountability.
• Collaboration-Shared Governance will foster an environment welcoming concerns, ideas, questions and supporting shared decision-making across CICC committees and employee groups.
• Effective Communication-Shared Governance will work to ensure committee information, college policy manuals and the shared governance handbook are accessible and updated on a regular basis.
