For Skilled-Trades Employers
COCC helps local companies grow and train their workforce.
As your local community college, COCC partners with industry groups, educational programs,
and community agencies to best meet the workforce needs of our region. One important
way we support Central Oregon’s industries, employers, and workers is through apprenticeship
and pre-apprenticeship opportunities.
Based on our Redmond campus with a mobile training unit available, COCC’s Apprentice
offerings provide more than a skilled worker pipeline. We develop partnerships with
companies and programs to identify emerging industry trends and needs, while keeping
training current and comprehensive. Through our Pre-apprenticeship and Apprenticeship
programs, we can help you staff up or retool your company’s team with newly trained
skilled workers in a range of specialties.
Apprenticeship at COCC has also developed proven partnerships to help local schools
and organizations grow their skilled trade training, articulating with curriculums
and bringing students extensive hands-on expertise. We place a special focus on serving
the underserved, making sure that students of all backgrounds have access to these
vital sectors of education.
