COCC COmmittees

Student MeetingCOCC prides itself on staying connected with issues that matter to students.  One way to make your voice heard and positively impact the campus is to volunteer for a COCC committee.   COCC has the following committees open for student involvement:

College Affairs Committee:  Serves as a forum for College-wide issues. Typically meets for one hour each month;One student position available.

Student Affairs Committee:  Reviews and recommends student services policies and practices or those topics that generally impact the quality of student life at Central Oregon Community College. 
Typically meet for one hour each month; three student positions available.

Curriculum Committee: Reviews all new proposals and revisions to COCC courses and programs. 
Typically meets every other week for one hour; one student position available.

Diversity Committee:  Works to help create a welcoming campus climate that supports the rights of individuals and reflects respect for diverse cultures, backgrounds, and ideas. Typically meet for one hour each month; two student positions available.

Facilities Advisory Committee:  Provide advice on college facilities issues by reviewing and recommending in areas of planning, budgeting, purchasing, maintaining, renovating and constructing of College buildings and grounds. Typically meets for one hour each month; two student positions available.

Student Fee Committee: Recommends allocation of student fees for student government, student newspaper and Club and Intramural Sports.  Meets two to three times during winter quarter; three student positions available.

Citation Appeals Committee: Review appeals for COCC traffic and parking appeals.  Meets one to two times per month; two student positions available.
