Bentley Mineral Collection

Dr. Robert (Bob) D. Bentley (1933-2021) was a Professor of Geology at Central Washington University from 1969 to 1997. This collection was donated to COCC in December 1977.

Thanks to the efforts of Kathleen Cooper, the Library's Art Lead, the collection was cleaned and put on display in 2025. You can view the collection on the main floor of the Barber Library in Bend. 


Priday Plume Agates

Rocks in a variety of shapes and sizes. Plume agates are characterized by inclusions that resemble flames, feathers, flowers, or ferns.
