Meet the Personal Counselors
Shay
Shay is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker receiving a Master’s in Social Work from Portland State University and working in a clinical capacity in Central Oregon since 2012. She has provided mental health services to Central Oregon Community College students for the last four years.
Shay predominantly works with individuals experiencing: complex trauma, depression, anxiety and panic disorder, relationship issues, life transitions, chronic illness and provides LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy.
Recognizing that we each come with experiences that shape how we perceive and experience the world, Shay is committed to strengthening individual capacity for self-determination and healing through safe and collaborative therapy, advocacy and allyship.
Brianna
Brianna received a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Oregon State University,
Cascades campus. Brianna represents higher education in Central Oregon, having first
attended COCC then OSU through graduate school. She returned to college as a nontraditional
student, and understands the wide-ranging needs of adult learners balancing school,
work, and home life. She has been both the recipient of campus mental health services
as an undergraduate and the provider of these services to students while in graduate
school, private practice, and diverse community work. Brianna specializes in working
with survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual assault, adult
survivors of complex developmental trauma, and individuals experiencing chronic suicide
ideation. Currently, she is living with acquired disability from long COVID and provides
needed insight into post-pandemic mental health and improved disability access.
Brianna provides a relational, systems approach, increasing her accessibility to students experiencing barriers to education, mental health services, and more. Brianna found support in her personal and professional development, in part, through the Central Oregon higher education community. She is dedicated to being of service to this population in return.
