Explore Universal Design for Learning

Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is a set of principles that provide a blueprint for creating instructional goals, methods, materials, and assessments that work for everyone--not a single, one-size-fits-all solution but rather flexible approaches that can be customized and adjusted for individual needs.

CAST has recently updated to UDL 3.0 guidelines! The new guidelines make small shifts to highlight that the goal of UDL is learner agency that is purposeful & reflective, resourceful & authentic, strategic & action-oriented. The resources below may be a mix demonstrating application of UDL 2.2 and 3.0 standards.
