LGBTQ+ Student Scholarship Fund

The COCC LGBTQ+ Student Scholarship fund supports students who identify as LGBTQ+. Central Oregon Community College is committed to providing a safe and respectful learning and working environment for members of the LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender,  queer, +) community and its allies. 

"LGBTQ+ students face a variety of obstacles, including financial ones. They may have less support from their families, and they make less than the typical worker.

LGBTQ+ students might also have fewer resources to work with, as some may choose not to fill out the FAFSA because they're forced to disclose the sex assigned to them at birth. LGBTQ+ students have a harder time paying for school than their straight, cis peers. Earning a scholarship can help mitigate some of these concerns." - Best Colleges
