Community Engagement

With “community” as part of our name, this goal focuses on engaging with and responding to the communities we serve. To ensure we are meeting this goal, our indicators focus on the number of College-sponsored events offered each year, building or maintaining strong connections with education and workforce partners and more fully engage with the communities we serve.

Overall, engagement with key stakeholder groups enriches the professional experience of COCC staff, strengthens the college's ties to the community, and contributes to student success, workforce development, and regional prosperity in Central Oregon. By actively participating in these partnerships, COCC staff can make meaningful contributions to the College's mission and the communities we serve.

The 2023-27 Strategic Plan Action project supporting COCC’s Community Engagement goal is building the infrastructure needed to expand workforce programs supporting Central Oregon business and industry needs.
