Previous Calls for Art

The Future is Genderless

**THANK YOU! THE CALL IS NOW CLOSED**

The Future is Genderless asks us to question what the future of gender can be. We are in a time where body autonomy and rights to individuals' bodies are intertwined into the complexities of our identities including being BILAPOC, LGBTQ+, and non-binary embodied people.

Some guiding questions that might spark some ideas for your submission:

  • What does your own gender mean to you in relation to society?
  • What do you see or hope for gender to encompass in the future?
  • How can we move the conversation of gender from binary to inclusive?

We are seeking Oregon artists to show their creative endeavors and artwork. Submissions can range from photography and painting to conceptual pieces, sculpture, design, textiles, and more. All accepted artworks will be presented at an in-person show at the Pinckney Gallery in Pence Hall on the Central Oregon Community College in Bend, OR.

WHO CAN APPLY

The Future is Genderless is open to:

  • All Oregon artists.
  • We strongly encourage the Central Oregon community, COCC and OSU-Cascades students, staff, and faculty, especially those who are historically underrepresented in art museums and gallery to apply.

HOW TO APPLY

Apply here by February 24, 2023, 11:59 PM PST

The application asks for general contact information, as well as information about your art.

Please be ready to submit:

  • One to five pieces of artwork. Upload one digital photo of each piece for consideration.
