COCC Alert: Emergency Notification System Information
COCC Alert sends text, emails and voice alerts to quickly communicate emergency information. Alerts are also sent when the college is closed or classes are delayed due to weather or road conditions.
Credit Students and Adult Basic Skills (ABS) Students:
If you are registered in at least one credit or ABS class, you are automatically entered in COCC Alert.
- You will always receive an alert to your COCC Email address
- You can update COCC Alert to receive text, personal email and voice messages
Update your COCC Alert options:
From the student login page, select the COCC Alert icon.
Login using your COCC email address and password.
COCC Employees:
If you have a COCC email address, you are automatically entered into COCC Alert.

Update your COCC Alert options:
From the employee login page, select the COCC Alert icon.
Login using your COCC email address and password.
Don't have a COCC Email address? You can still get alerts!
If you are a Continuing Education student, an employee who does not have a COCC email address or a community member, you may receive text alerts.
- You can start and stop your text alert at any time.
- Message and data rates may apply. Text messages are sent on an as-needed basis. This service is provided per the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
Start receiving alerts from Central Oregon Community College by texting "COCCAlert" to 226787
Cancel by replying "STOP" to 226787 or any alert message. Text "HELP" for tech support.
Early Morning COCC Alerts
For morning closures or delays, a COCC Alert message will typically be sent by 6 a.m. Please keep this in mind when you set up COCC Alert notification options or choose to opt-in.
When will COCC Alerts be sent?
COCC Alerts will be sent to inform you about delays, closures, threats of violence or other significant events. As needed, COCC Alerts will direct you to cocc.edu/emergency for more information or updates on the status of the emergency situation.
